Somebody arrives for a cleaning, a check-up, or in pain and unannounced. Reception is on the phone, and the person standing at the desk waits.
What a visitor does
They touch the screen, answer a few short questions one at a time, and get
a badge number. No app to install, no account, no password. The confirmation
shows no name, because a waiting room can read over somebody's shoulder.
The questions are yours
You write them, and you can reword, reorder or retire any of them. A
dental practices might ask:
Who are you here to see?
Is this your first visit with us?
Are you here for an appointment or is this an emergency?
Each question takes the kind of answer you choose — free text, an email
address, a phone number, or a list to pick from.
Who is told
Each member of staff picks how they hear that somebody has arrived: email,
a text message, or a Teams channel. The message names nobody. It says a
visitor has arrived and links into the app, because a notification is read
on a lock screen.
If somebody does not know whose name to look for, they can tap
“I’m not sure — I need help” and your front desk is
told, instead of them guessing.
What is kept
You choose: keep what a visitor typed, clear it after a set number of days,
or clear it as soon as the visit is over. The photo, the ID check and the
spoken questions are each off until you turn them on.
Set up with a person, not a form.
We go through the questions and who gets told, then you can change any of
it yourself.
Optional visit counting is off. If you allow it, each of these
public pages sends our analytics server its page address and, when you came from
another of these pages, that page as the referrer — never another website's
address. The server also sees your IP address and browser, which it uses
to tell visits apart and record your device type and approximate location. No cookies,
nothing you type. Privacy
Visit counting is on in this browser: page address, a
referrer from our own pages, and what our server derives from your IP address and
browser (visit, device type, approximate location).

Visit counting is off on this page and
nothing more is sent from this page, but this browser would not save that, so the
next page you open may resume counting. Clearing this site's data turns it off
